Ashton Aged Maduro Cigars

Ashton Aged Maduro is rare because of its selected and extremely limited Connecticut broad leaf wrapper. Many a wrapper leaf is picked, but few are chosen for our Ashton Aged Maduro. The initial sweet taste comes from the wrapper, but once lit, the cigar becomes rich and nutty much like a great Madeira or Tawny Port, whose distinct flavor comes from aging in Sherry finished French oak barrels. Our Ashton Aged Maduro's rich distinct flavor comes from the never hurried natural fermentation of the wrapper, which encourages its natural sweetness. The wrapper and aged filler creates a rich and complex flavor elevating the Ashton Aged Maduro to a class all its own.

Dark, dry and toothy, with a solid bunch. It burns beautifully. The flavor is smooth and woody, with hints of espresso. scoring a 88.

Rated 89. Near black with a rustic wrapper, this cigar has plenty of leathery fruity flavor as well as an interplay between orange peel and charcoal notes as the cigar progresses.

The Ashton Aged Maduro No. 50 rated a 90. A dark and oily cigar with a good cap. The draw is a bit firm. The smoke is rich, leathery and cedary, with notes of semi-sweet chocolate. Very tasty.

Dark and rustic in appearance. The cigar burns very evenly delivering lots of dark-roasted coffee flavors, woody notes and a charry, over-roasted finish. Rated 88

Rated 89. Dark and oily with an effortless draw. Sweet, medium-bodied anise flavors carry some charcoal notes, but the palate is left with a spicy, anise finish.
